I.D. UNDER NEWSLETTER #5 June 1989, Chicago Punk

I.D. Under Newsletter #5, June 1989. Doug Ward from Chicago punk band I.D. Under began semi-regularly circulating these newsletters to people who signed on to the I.D. Under mailing list back in the late 80's. Doug would maintain this newsletter in some form or another for several years as it morphed from the I.D. Under newsletter, to the 'Chicago Alternative Contact Bulletin' to his follow-up band 8bark newsletter. These would regularly include such material as news on recent shows played both locally and on tour, scene reports, advertisements for zines and merch from predominantly (but not limited to) midwestern punk bands and labels, and an ever-expanding band/promoter/venue contact list which predated 'Book Your Own Fuckin' Life' by a couple of years. This particular issue includes 10 pages (5 double-sided sheets) stamped and dated as shown in the images.
NOTE: This would be the final iteration of this newsletter as the 'I.D. Under Newsletter'. The several editions that followed would be mailed out under the title of 'Chicago Alternative Contact Bulletin' (Or the C.A.C.B.).
These materials were sent to me as correspondence from the band. Although I've a fair bit of sentimental value attached to it because of that, these hard and uncertain times have forced me to consider parting with some of my most treasured items. My hope is for this to go to a good home, as I do not part with it easily.
